Clear Creek is fishing fair at the moment. The Creek is murky and rising, things will only get worse until we are into and out of run-off season. You should get out while the fishing is good. The canyon fishes well, and through the town of Idaho Springs is good too. Idaho Springs to Georgetown Lake along the frontage road can be a great spot to check out too.
Bugs of choice for me lately have been Putterbaugh Caddis and Orange Stimmies for dries. Adams and Griffiths knats can be good too. Sizes 14 and smaller are my go-to sizes. Droppers include BH Brassies, BH Rainbow Warriors, and BH Zebra Midges. Sizes 16 and smaller work well. You can nymph the deeper sections. Those droppers will work just fine for nymphing too.
Good Luck and as always, feel free to call the shop or stop by!
